thanks for the tip alex.

I'll try that, I've found that I've only started incorporating RP stuff into a few exercises, easing into it to see how i like it (i love it!) and the first set really takes a lot out of me.

I'll bench, and throw on a weight I can get 7-8 on, and it'll go up all me. I rack it on the bottom, lay there, 10 deep breaths, and get it off (with a spot) and then go formore, and only get like 2 by myself.

I think sitting up, taking a few more breaths, stretching out a little more, and kinda "resetting" my brain will help, I'll have to try that.

This is also why DC recommends straight sets for the first two weeks, this sets your baselines as well.

If you're not sure about a starting weight for an exercise, straight set it, once you've found a weight you can do 8-10 with (to failure) then you're probably there, take this weight or add a little if you feel up to it, then rp it into the ground.

You're definitely not resting enough between sets mate, taking a break also preps the mind for the next set, tricks it into thinking it's a different set instead of just a continuation of the previous one, at least that's how I see it, heh.

Of course, don't hit the other end of the spectrum and rest for more than a minute.

Try it like I say, rack, sit up, count 15 DEEP breaths, lay back, unrack, then hit it hard. You'll get it eventually, don't you worry.
