Trying out to be a kicker for the dolphins, what leg exercises should i do

After thinking it over i have decided to be a kicker for the miami dolphins not this season but next season so i have a whole year to workout and get ready.

I played soccer my whole life so i have the ability to kick like the best of them my range is about 50 yrds.

What leg exercises are the best ones to strengthen your legs and loewr body basicly.
I have done some research and havent found much.

I just joined a local gym today (i dont think ima be able to concentrate...so many hot women...)but back to the subject.

What exercises should i perform?

I would think lots of kicking should do you right lol.

I doubt there is much else you can do.


Do some squats, deadlifts...if you do heavy enough, you won't feel like kicking much more.

I think you should just kick like a mofo and get your technique down.

I think technique and practice is what it is all about. In the end, you'll be dealing with weather, like snow, rain, sleet, cold, air... What ever, and you'll have to practice with stuff like that.

Dont know where you live, but if it snows, go out and kick a bit. If it rains, go out and kick. If it is windy like a mofo, go out and kick. Learn how to adjust to your environment.

One thing I might suggest aside from just staying in shape and keeping that lower body up, is you may try and practice some kicking a bit with a shoe weight.

Power Systems carries them, and you can strap it around your shoe and have extra weight on that foot. Practice kicking with it, and it will strengthen your foot and leg a bit more cause you'll have that extra weight to kick with.

Then after you train with it for say 8 weeks or so, practice and see if you can kick farther, or if your hang time is longer.

An item like that should only help you.

Strengthen your hip flexors... Google it.

Also, work on obliques, abs, lower back, hamstrings, calves,.... f*ck dude just do everything and keep kicking as well.
