So I'm a pretty shy, quiet person. Most people I meet tell me I'm quiet. I want to change but sometimes it's hard to find something to say.

Anyways, I invited this girl over to watch a movie tonight. I thought since we would be watching a movie some of the pressure would be off of me, but I want her to remember more about me than the movie. I'm terrified that she'll just come over, watch the movie, then leave, and nothing will really click.

Can someone give me some advice on how and where to steer a conversation?

PS I'm sorry if this is one of those common threads that everyone hates, but please don't lock it. I don't really have enough time before she gets here to search the site or forums.

Thanks.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Just relax dude and dont get into any deep convo. Your watching a movie anyways. Use a little ****y comedy and maybe some kino. Sometimes I use stuff in the movie to make convo.

successful kino, like alcohol, really aids a convo. Use it well. Also, look through the Articles and Hall of Fame section for some general advice about conversations.

Then learn to relax, and when it's all over, perhaps read the Book of Pook (link at bottom).
