Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

I had my eyes on this particular girl and finally got a great chance to make her mine this weekend, but I messed it up because I got too drunk...

As I'm still walking at the beginning of the path towards becoming a DJ, I still need to consciously overrule all the AFC habits that pop up as soon as I try to run my game. You know what I mean, basically just the tendency to become nervous/shy and all the ways your behavior reflects this.. But I've become quite good at overruling these tendencies, I must say. But the thing is, I need to do this consciously..I need to take charge of myself and push myself into the DJ mood, I need to focus on that or else I'll just act like an AFC. To act like a DJ, I need to be in control of myself... But too much alcohol does the exact opposite... When I think back of that night and analyze my behaviour, I feel like facepalming continually. I broke all the rules that need to be followed in order to be succesful, I made all the wrong decisions in my approach to her.. She was very interested in me at the start, it was a "done deal", I just had to play it out right. But as the night progressed, she lost all her interest in me because I did everything wrong.

I'm writing it down so this thread can keep reminding me, and hopefully it's an extra reminder to others: TOO MUCH ALCOHOL TOTALLY RUINS YOUR GAME!!

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I agree with you there Die Hard.

Some people say that alcohol loosens you up and keeps you hyped up... perhaps a small amount but as you say, more than that? and you're asking for trouble! haha

I find alcohol doesnt positively influence my game at all!

Peace out

Dear Diehard,
The only problems I have had so far with erectile disfunction, were directly caused by alcohol....The immoral bard himself said of booze,"it doth improve the attraction and confound the performance"....as one third of Englishmen and a good few of us Anglos in other lands, are Shakespeares descendants then, you might say, he knew a thing or two.

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesus CHRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTT

When I was in high school, (like a hundred years ago) I brought a freshman to the senior prom. Me and about three four friends (and our dates) rented a hotel. We had everything planned out.

We got to the hotel in the afternoon, filled the bathtub with ice and beer and champagne. Prom went great, all piled into my truck and rolled back to the hotel.

three four rooms had been rented by other high schoolers, as the hotel was cheap and near the ballroom where the prom was being held. So there were plenty of parties going on.

I could tell my date (who this smokin hot half Japanese girl) was sending me signals that it was ON. There was no doubt in my bones we were going to bone. Easy kissing, no flinching or resistance to my wandering hands during various drinking games.

then she got sick because she was having such a great time that she drank too much.

No pu$$y for me that night. But quite a fun experience neverthless.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I've always struggled with my drinking. I don't have a particular urge to drink, but in social situations, once I get going it's hard to stop.

It's perhaps partly genetic (my father and brother have the same problem), but in the end i have to take responsibility for my actions.

So, I've recently committed to go 60 days alcohol free. Done 6 so far and going fine.

Went out with my mates last Friday night, wasn't tempted to drink once (stuck to red bull / coke / water), acted as designated driver, got home and in bed by 4am, got up at 9am the next morning and felt fine!

Here's to hoping I manage to last the 60 days!

Other than losing control of yourself, alcohol also releases estrogen and decreases testosterone level. In other words, it makes you a b!tch.

Drink responsibly, Don Juan masters.

Martinis are like t!ts, one's not enough, but three is too many.

Learning to sarge straight should come before sarging buzzed. Needing a drink to approach only helps you in a bar or a club, not many other places.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

My thoughts exactly, and I'm gonna stick with it from now on. To be honest, there's a lot more to my story and as to why I wasn't able to pick this girl up... But I've decided to go and put that in a seperate thread:
