That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

so theres this girl that I meet up at our company's happy hours. I deleted her off my phone since I figured she was an attention *****, so I havent spoke to her for 10 days. She messaged me yesterday, and said this:


"did you go to happy hour last week? missed the phone call, so I decided not to go :p"


what do u guys think about me writing this:

"no i didnt, i had other stuff goin on. im pleased to hear that u only show up to see me. since i do the same, if youd like, we can just skip all the formalities and screw at my place ;).



.....just kidding. i will give u a call sometime in the future."
