Definitely depends on how long you have been dating and what kind of things she wants/is interested in –

Personally, I am a big fan of lingerie, books, jewelry, play/concert tickets, CD’s, etc.

Gifts fall under 2 categories:

1)Gifts that she can touch- material objects, such as jewelery, stuffed animals, etc.


2)Gifts that she can't touch but strictly gives her feelings - A day at the spa.

I've always found that the best gifts are a combination of both and the best are those leaning towards the type that sends emotions running though her like a bolt of lightning.

Please understand this....The amount of money you spend on her is not that important.

What is important is the thought that went into making or picking out the gift and setting up the situation in which the gift is given. BOTTOM LINE!

The more creative you are and the more thought you put into the gift, the more she will appreciate it.

Any AFC with a bank account can roll into Tiffanys and buy something he thinks is impressive and most likely she will love it!And of course...... she will expect NOTHING less next year and on every other occasion

Why does she like it? Because its a sign of all the time he had to bust his ass in order to pay for it. That time is what really counts and is the #1 underlying reason why she likes it.

What a real DJ knows is that you can acheive the same results without spending tons of cash by simply putting in the time. Not in the office or on the trading floor, but on thinking about her and the things that she loves and then showing her that you have picked up on them.

Normally I don't do this but the above is Bulls**t. Of course it depends on the woman. If I buy a Tiffany bracelet for a woman then the chances she will appreciate it more than she will a gift soap basket. Again, it depends on the woman. MOST women will take the Tiffany bracelet over the Homemade soap basket any day.

I just quizzed a girl on the job and she said that she wouldn't mind the gift basket but she would APPRECIATE the Bracelet.

Allright, you guys all asked for it - Bungo Pony's Ultimate Gift!!

I used this once, and it worked extremely well, and I plan on using it again. Get out your video camera (or borrow one) and make her a video. No, not a "close & sexual encounter" video, just do some wacky stuff on it. If you have a talent, record some of that. Pull out some pics of you in your younger days (not the ones with your ex), and put together a slideshow of them.

This kind of a gift shows thought, creativeness, and is extremely inexpensive. Again, this is for LTRs only!!

I can see where your coming from if you gave her a gift basket.

I agree she would definitely appreciate the braclet more because it's more expensive and required more money/effort to buy.

Here's the point:

I wasn't making a comparison between two material objects, my point was to compare something of high material value (bracelet)to a gift that has a lot of thought and careful planning put behind it.

Expensive gifts are sometimes used to impress a women when the same can be acheive by using a little forthought and creativity.

Ask the girl that you just quizzed if she would rather have the bracelet OR this:

One night you take her up to the highest elevated point in your city. Tell her you have a surprise.... Then for her gift, tell her to look up a star you've picked out and make a wish. Then tell her that's your star!

Now show her the certificate you bought from the international star registry where for a small fee, they will name a star after her (or any name you give them). Now, no matter where the two are you are, or how far apart, you can look up in the sky and wish on the star!

LOL I'm awaiting her response.......

A gift, whether to a partner or to a potential lover, should be something that makes them think of you every time they look at it. A female friend of mine said she was given a purse for her birthday by a guy that had the hots for her. That purse was tossed into the bottom of her closet, never to be seen again. I gave a girlfriend a ring that I made out of a dollar bill. She put it on her teddy bear that stays on her bed. She said every time she sees it, she thinks of me. Give them something that keeps you on their mind. Be creative!

Agreed, that's why I suggested the video. The great thing about a gift that reminds them of you is even after they dump your ass, they'll be stuck with that haunting them MWAHAHAHAA!

Here's an idea to go along with the "keep you in her mind" philosophy that I'm planning on.

Both my GF and I play piano, although she seems to think I play better than her. To go along with this, she loves listening to me play. Now, there's a current guy out there named Jim Brickman, and if you haven't heard his stuff it's sappy love/romance/emotional pop piano music, very often just instrumental with no words. I happen to own a book of music that he wrote, and I play the music for her a bit. Here's the clintcher.

For christmas, I plan on getting her one of his cd's, which not only is great mood music, but will make her think of me by absently recognizing the different songs that are playing, and the differences between the CD and how I play them....

Oh, btw... the star idea was one of the best things I've ever seen in my life.
2 Ideas though:
1) do it in a rural area where you can see the stars better.
2) do some research before hand and make sure you don't pick a star that's not visible year round. That would just suck. You have her looking at this star, thinking of you, yet it only appears during the summer. He he he... just a tho't

My friend said this came for a movie, so you might wanna make sure she hasn't, and will not ever see that movie... haha
