"Fire In The Belly: On Being A Man" is a pretty damn good book. It has a few wussy feminist moments which I can just imagine Pook ripping to shreds, but the bulk of it is gold. It's basically GOOD FEMINISM, the dispensing of the definitions of man that hold us back.
The quote which I wanna share is something which the author himself was quoting. Though I don't remember who from, can't be bothered to check. Anyways,
"The first question you should ask is, 'where am I going?'. The second is, 'Who will go with me?' If you ever get these questions in the wrong order you are in trouble".
Very wise sh'it.
The answer to "where am I going?" is not "woman". The ladies want to share in your answer to number 1. In fact, the same goes for making friends.
THere are some really excellent books about masculinity out there, something which could make you feel a bit of a chump for having forked out 5000$ for the latest David DeAngelo CD-set.
The other book I'd recommend is "The way of the superior man" by david deida. It's an amazing book. The guy gets it in a totally spiritual manner.
What would you recommend, book wise?
