Considering I am training to be a Police Officer, I find this thread funny.

I pretty much got all tree of stuka's stuff covered just by moderating here! :D

#1 My cousin(who is a girl) became a NYState troper 3 years ago..she makes close to 80,000 dollars a year:up:
She would have to make about $150K a year to even manage get a small place in NY City. And that still might not be enough.

$80K might be good money in the South...but not in NY City.

Any profession will have three reasons for why not to be in that position.

Police work is an honorable work. Any work...if done honorable (regardless of the job) is a job in which the person deserves the respect.

Remember...it is not the job...but the person that performs that job.

She is a NY "state" police officer...in "upstate" NY... There is actually a state of NY you know.. $80,000 a year in upstate NY is damn fine money..

She put a metal roof on her house
, and I recently heard she is having a full deck built down on her hill in the back and a stairway leading up to the upper deck or whatever.. pool..

She drives a new RAV-4, and she is just 28 years old:up:

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

however, if no one choose the law enforcement career, where would that leave the citizens of our country with crime?
that will never happen. the government will offer 50 to 100 dollars an hours if they have to. money talks.

everyone is important anyways, from a garbage man, to a doctor, teacher, or auto mechanic!~

yeah they are very nice looking roofs. They are not those silver tin roofs you are thinking.. My dad currently is getting one installed on his house.

Yeah I think metal roofs cost more than asphalt shingle ones and they sometimes last like a 100 years. You can even get copper ones, they're expensive. I think if I was going to get a high dollar roof put on i might go with slate or tile.

Also if I were a cop...I'd play the theme from cops evertime I pulled over a perf...

I'd get a sub woofer induced system in my squad car, and crank it up so the perf can clearly hear it...

"BAD BOYS BAD BOYS WATCHA GONNA DO>>WATCHA GONNA DO WHEN THEY COME FOR YOU?::

After it fades .. I would tell the perf.. "remember that beeotch!" while slapping the chrome rings around his wrist.. One bad ass officer I would make..

Not really , lol

People become cops because they want the POWER! It's all about power. They love that they can bust some innocent person and make them pay hundreds of dollars for driving a little bit over the speed limit, spending THEIR hard-earned money on a prostitute, etc. They love that they can pull someone over, intimidate that person, use mind games to trick him/her into consenting to a search, and completely invade his/her privacy. If they get lucky, they might even get to arrest someone! WOW! Wouldn't that make them feel powerful and good about themselves.

Cops are just bullies who get into other people's business. They rarely do anything good. Ever had something stolen from you? Ever had a loved one in danger? Then you'll know that in truly important situations, the cops say, "Sorry, but there's nothing we can do." But when you're going just a little over the speed limit or double buckling in a car because there aren't enough seats... WOAH, now the cops feel the need to take some action!

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I generally don't hate the police, but I HATE when cops abuse their power when it comes to driving.

I am sure we have all seen the cops who turn their emergency lights on in a non-emergency situation just because they don't feel like sitting in traffic.

I also see NJ State Troopers do this one quite often and it happened to me today:

I am on the Garden State Parkway in the left lane doing 75mph. Out of nowhere a trooper is riding my bumper (about 2 feet behind me) and NO EMERGENCY SITUATION OR FLASHING LIGHTS until I move out of "his lane".

After I move over, he did the same exact thing to the next 3 motorists.

I have witnessed this on many occasions and it makes me angry.
