Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Why have a lot of the girls I've pursued have boyfriends?
Today I volunteered for Martin Luther King day, which I must say is a great way to meet girls. So everything was going great with this one girl. I couldn't believe how ****y and funny I was. For instance, she asked me what nationality I was and I told her I was Filipino. Then she says she once had a crush on a Filipino guy which I responded, "so what is it about Filipino guys that you find attractive?" She just laughed and playfully hit me.
Like a good chess player, I had my moves already planned out. After volunteering, the group decided to eat out for lunch. She didn't have any money so I lent her money, thinking I could use the "instead of paying me back I'll let you buy me lunch" line, which would set me up for a "give me your number" line. But before that could happen she nonchalantly says she has a boyfriend. Upon hearing that my IL dropped and probably hers too because I ignored her the rest of the time. So she ended up paying me back.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

That tends to happen with me too... I've hit up so many girls that has had BFs it's not even funny. Actually the very very very few women I've actually considered as a gf subject I've found had bf's already.

What you have to remember is this: for many women, to admit to being single is one of the hardest things they can do. A single man is able to portray himself as a free living bachelor, but a single woman still has the stigma of being 'on the shelf' - just look at the term we use to describe an unmarried woman - 'spinster' - ie someone who just sits around spinning all day.

A lot of single women will SAY they have a boyfriend to scare you off, and I have even known an woman to completely fabricate a relationship in order not to lose face.

Many women also will not dump a boyfriend until they are sure they have a replacement lined up.

So don't be put off by women saying they have a boyfriend - judge each case on its merits. Is she saying it to get rid of you, or is there a possibility that you are being considered for the role?

I understand that you're trying an angle here, but I'd really advise against it. Suppose she said "Sure", gets her free lunch then blows you off on the repay?

Last night, a girl I've identified as a classic beauty with classic low self-esteem issues, tried to get me to buy her a 15 dollor shirt at this pub we frequent. Of course, the answer was no. I swear, she spent more time trying to get me to buy her one when she could have just washed dishes in the back and earned it faster.

When she saw that her efforts were wasted on me, she pulls out a hundred and buys tthe shirt for herself. She'd been saying all night how broke she was. Heck, she's always saying that.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that just because she says she's broke, doesn't mean she's broke. There's a little thing called a shyt test; a girl will say she's broke just to see if she still has the stuff to get it for free. Believe what you see them do, not what they say.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Looks like I got to her first. :D You shouldn't have blown her off completely. You might see her around campus and she could introduce you to her friends.
