Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

i would just keep it at 1 scoop of whey...your body isn't going to be able to process all 60+grams of protein in one setting

also instead of the cheese and nuts...might want to have instead a whey shake + 1tbspon of flaxseed oil or just whey and milk itself.

looks pretty good overall maybe get rid of one of those bar things in your meal plan and put some real food instead.

i'm also bulking i'm about 155lb but at 5'10

damn, I just had 75g of protein from chicken .. my breakfast tomorrow is scheduled for 92g protein (not counting protein from oats or toast). my body can and will process it, especially if the correct demands (heavy training) are placed on it.

you carry on with that mindset, and you'll stay at 155lbs my friend.

both of you need to go on a seefood diet. 300g protein a piece and then whatever else is in the house. red meat and eggs should be your staples, have 1-2 servings of each every day. then oats, rice, bread, peanut butter, olive oil, nuts, cheese, whatever. 3000kcal should be a good starting point for you both (excluding pre and post workout nutrition on workout days)

tuna, bars, cottage cheese, yogurt, fruit ... sorry, that won't build you any muscle. save that for the weigh****chers crowd!

I'd say every other day. They're a buck fifty. Hell, I'd make their post workout meal a McD's. Down a protein shake after the workout, then as many double cheeseburgers as they can eat (no fries).

your body can only handle at most 50 grams per sitting the rest you will sh1t out.you will get the calories and what not but not all the protein. only exception maybe is after you work out in that case your muscles are like sponges.

you carry on with that mindset, and you'll stay at 155lbs my friend.

right......

yes, exactly.. you've read, you've been told blah blah blah. you've probably written studies using sedentary office workers who eat 3x a day and barely work out. you don't consider that a lean 240lb bodybuilder is going to have more protein requirements than a 170lb 25% bodyfat male office worker and therefore will be able to process more protein BECAUSE THE DEMAND IS BEING PLACED ON HIS BODY TO DO SO.

What happens to your body if you sit around all day and eat too many carbs? You get fat because the excess carbs aren't being used and stored in adipose. What happens if you eat lots of carbs but are also very active - you create a need for energy and burn the carbs to this end. The carbs aren't wasted or stored in adipose, they're used, because you're putting a higher demand on the body for them. It's exactly the same with heavy weight training (which uses protein for fuel).

Trust me, if you're training heavy enough, then no protein will be wasted..

Not trying to be the thorn in your side, but I do believe the guy said he was 150lb. Not going against what your saying cause I don't have any idea how much one can handle, but you kind of contradicted yourself there.

And just wondering, but what kind of meals are you eating? 97g of protein in your breakfast? What exactly are you eating?

hardcore bodybuilders like that are an exception........ of course thier going to need all that protein since they're not eating a lot of carbs or fat. but for the average person it would be a waste.

and I ate about 570g protein today
wow....thats a lot lol....cutting diet? or you one of those hardcore BB's?

I used the 170lb office worker as an example .. the weight is irrelevant, it's just that if you put a demand on your body to process more protein it will! I wanted to point out that a big, muscular heavy lifter is going to be able to process more protein because he's placing the demand on his body by training heavy and having more muscle tissue (which needs protein to support itself) whereas the office worker will not.

97g protein at breakfast: 3 scoops whey (27g pro each) and 3 eggs (blended in a shake)

no, that's maintainance right now, although it was a workout day.

and okay, I can see I'm not getting through .. you guys stick with your low protein diets and see how far it gets you.

There's a bunch of ways to say this, but this one amuses me:

"Train like a gladiator, eat like a horse, sleep like a baby and grow like a weed!"

Or, go back to your .8g/lb of protein and then whine about why you can't break 150lbs of bodyweight. The choice is yours.
