"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Today is the 11month anniversary of my girlfriend and I. We met last year, we go to the same college and we've had our ups and downs the past few months. The other day she wanted to end things because I was flirting pretty heavily with a girl I sit next by in my Jan Term class. My girlfriend is in the same class. She has a psychologist whom she sees every week due to a car accident and memory problems, I don't notice a difference though. Anyhow, she comes up to my dorm a few minutes ago and she tells me that she talked with her psychologist about us and that if things continue or don't change, then in 3 months we should end it. My suitemate comes in and says something and she starts crying, we all thought it was fake but I guess it was real. She leaves and she calls me from her car saying that she never wants to come up to my dorm again and she never wants to go to the snow on the weekends again, etc. etc.
We're supposed to have dinner tonight after she's done babysitting, so I ask her if we're still up for dinner, she says she doesn't know. So I'm guessing no.

I don't know if I should just end it now... or try and sort things out.
Yesterday when I was flirting with the girl, we were on the phone that night arguing, complaining, just in an emotional frustration, both of us. It was horrible.
I'd love to sort things out... I can handle these little arguments which I think are blown out of proportion, but I don't think she can handle them. We've had stuff like this happen in the past and it's worked out in the end.

What would you guys do in this kind of situation?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Ah, sounds familiar.

How would you feel, if she started to flirt heavily with another guy right in front of you? Dude, you can flirt with other women, but there are rules to that.

- If you flirt heavily (which you did), don't do it when your girl is around, wait until she's gone.
- If your girl is there, try to include your own girl into the flirting.
- Give her a chance to compete! She'll see you flirting, and try to get you to stay away from her.
- Make absolutely sure that the flirting is not too sexually oriented. If she sees you flirting and you clearly have sex on your mind, then it's a big no-no, unless you're in an open relationship.

-Flirting with chicks when you have a comited relationship is retared
-having a exclusive relationship with someone you don't want to be with in a exclusive relationship is equaly stupid.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
