Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Here's the deal. I don't think my buisness model is large enough to sustain me in this small town. I'm slowly dying over here, I'm spending all of my time chasing after little freelance gigs both locally and online. I don't have any time to date, the women I do meet are either to trashy, ghetto, single moms looking to settle down, rich girls or married women out on the prowl for strange.

I just got off the phone with my brother who has some opportunities lined up for me in Atlanta. I have no doubt that I could do well, but honestly I sort of like the small town life and I have no desire to move to a major metropolitan area.

On the upside, there is work there and there are tons of single women. On the downside, my daughter will be a 7 hour drive away. She's the reason I've stayed in this town for so long. Things are just coming to a head because the money is just not there for me. Have any of you guys been in this type of situation before? How did you handle it? If things don't turn around in the next 2-3 months I think I'm going to have to move regardless.

You can skip the expensive cars, the fancy clothes, and the endless gym selfies. Completely unnecessary.

I used to freeze the second a beautiful woman looked my way. Frustrated. Awkward. Watching other guys walk away with the girl while I stood there tongue-tied.

What's the access arrangement with your daughter as it now stands? Do you get along with the mother?
I get my daughter two weekends out of the month and we rotate holidays every year. I usually get her for about a month in the summer if I can make the proper arrangements. I haven't spoken to her mother in nearly 5 years. Her jealous boyfriend and her mother sort out all communication and travel arrangements, they live about an hour from my current location.

Thanks. I'll probably be moving, my roommate informed me that he's taking a job out of state in a month if he gets hired on, so I'll be forced to move anyway as I can barely cover bills as it is. Things just keep going from bad to worse. I got 99 problems but a girl ain't one.

Dear Warrior,
Seems you are between a rock and a hard place.....Bradd has it right....But things never stay the same for long and opportunities are everywhere...I must say having my two daughters close is very reassuring for me...we all need a support system!

Move to where there's money to be made. It's nice to be close to your kids and have a cozy feeling where you are, but you have to take care of yourself first. Make money and become stable.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
