"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

In a time like ours there are four kinds of people. There are those who consciously wish to sink further and deeper into chaos and darkness. There are those who willingly or unwillingly, are always ready to endure anything. Then there are also dinosaurs around who live the present situation by way of lamenting. From whining to commemorations, they imagine they can bring back the old order, which explains why they constantly score defeats.

But there are also those who yearn for a new beginning. Those who live in the darkness, but are not of the darkness; i.e. those who strive to resurrect the light. Those who know that beyond the real, there is also the possible. They like to quote George Orwell: “In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”'

Alain de Benoist

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I am a proud dinosaur.

There is much to learn by looking at the past as we move forward.

Quite true friend:) Although if God sent a messenger down to say that I could be born again into the early 20th century and live to be 80 or 90, I would have to give it some serious thought. What a cool place America was then. But it can be cool again, we just need a war to shake things up IMO...and then I will get to work rebuilding this mess.

I look to the present and the future. The past is prologue. For those who have had a shtty past already, there is no nostalgia, and we know doing nothing will not work and enduring is what we've been doing. There is nothing to resurrect, there is only a new order to create.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I like this one:

There are three kinds of people:

Those that make things happen.

Those that watch things happen.

Those that say, "Huh? What happened?"

Dear Burroughs,
Sorry Mate, but for once I am less divisive than you...Just two groups, those that come onto this Earth with a Saddle and a bit between their teeth, and those that Ride with a whip and sharp spurs!

I always liked this quote from Tom Brown Jr.

“Grandfather said that there were only two types of people in the world, critics and doers…. Doers are the people that the critics criticize, because they are the ones doing. With doing there is living. Doers are the people who make change, who never criticize, because they are too busy doing.”

Here's another one I heard from a guy I used to work with:

You'll find three kinds of people in bars:

Lonely people

Alcoholics

Those that got a system at the track

no it`s

- Lonely people who want to get laid
- Alcoholics
- People who are selling alcohol to losers

in most cases the girl chooses a guy from her social circle, invites him to party, fvcks him afterwards, therefore club game is lame and almost non-existant

you get better results from a dancing class or going to closed circle, house parties

the alpha male that can always pull in the clubs is a pua urban myth

Sounds like you are believing this excuse you've made up to justify why it isn't working for you. Also your attitude to those older than you is not befitting, maybe you need to rethink your use.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
