Greenday is punk and they aren't a "made" band. They have busted their balls to be as successful as they are. They've earned it. VH1 did a documentary on the band, and you'd be surprised at the story of the band members.

Green Day is NOT punk. Not even close, sorry. Maybe like 12 years ago they were, but not anymore. However, they have earned their place, unlike most acts out there today. It's just that...their new album is pretty weak compared to Dookie and other earlier efforts.

They are only massive successes now because their music is more pop oriented.

That's funny...GreenDay considers themselves Punk and that is their official genre of music. Again, GreenDay IS a Punk band.

Sounds good... and it's easy to say such a thing.

The only problem with this is the horrifying fact that both Hollywood and MTV is only a response to the people. They are only giving us what we are asking for.

This is still a Democracy ladies and gentlemen, even though it does not feel like it. 'Real World' first arrived in 1990, and there was no other reality show in sight... for years in fact. It was and has been a hit ever since... now we wonder why we see so much of this bull**** on television.

People get mad about Britney Spears, 50 Cent, Green Day and others. Newsflash... these mother****ers are selling millions upon millions of albums in spite of file sharing.

You know those ****ty blockbusters? They still gross hundreds of millions of dollars.

It's not Hollywood nor is it MTV... stop blaming it on an external force. No... the problem... is us.

I believed most parents thought T.V. Mtv would be a great baby sitter, a time waster...
