Here's an awesome excerpt I just read at this random website by an anonymous author. This one is totally great.

"We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough and we'll be more content when they are. After that we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, are able to go on a nice vacation, when we retire.

The truth is, there's no better time to be happy than right now.

If not now, when?

Your life will always be filled with challenges. It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway.

For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.

This perspective has helped me to see that there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way.

So, treasure every moment that you have. And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time and remember that time waits for no one

So stop waiting until you finish school, until you go back to school, until you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until your kids leave the house, until you start work, until you retire, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you get a new car or home, until home is paid off, until spring, until summer, until fall, until winter, until you are off welfare, until the first or fifteenth, until your song comes on, until you've had a drink, until you've sobered up, until you die, until you are born again to decide that there is no better time than right now to be happy.

Happiness is a journey, not a destination. Work like you don't need money, Love like you've never been hurt, And dance like no one's watching."

Its a good read, however one needs to know that its very difficult to maintain happiness for a very long time. The trick is to blance struggles with success and learn from your mistakes so the next day will be better. Just believing you can be happy is not enough because everything in this world is taken for granted until it is gone.

Another way to do this is to always look for the positive in everything you do and enjoy everything you do.

But as DJ Damage said, even when I did that, a month later I was in the slumps deeper than ever. Now I'm back up, but it's hard to be happy allthe time when you have memories sand pain and things to remind you of them everyday. Nice post.

I've heard this somewhere before, so unfortunately it doesn't do anything for me this time around.

i think it's impossible to be happy all the time

what u can do is realise that happyness is a state of mind, not a goal as u mentioned...

maybe, if u remain real to yourself, your beliefs, passions u will feel happy because u are respecting yourself

try to know yourself, push yourself further and be connected to your soul

that can unleash your human spirit, and happyness

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

if you want to be happy , you will be

if you want to be unhappy, you will be

its a matter of choice.

of course u have to appreciate what you have, but not to the point you become complaecent

if you are always content with wat u have, u wont improve. so stay humble, but always improve

Got this one from Buddhism:

Attatchment is the root of sorrow

If you arent attatched to anything, you have nothing to lose.

Basically, it's telling you to not let the tides and curretns around you affect your happiness.
