Aerosmith - Love in an Elevator
Ozzy Osbourne - Flying High Again
It's Aenema. And I agree any Tool song will work.

Also Ozzy's - You can't kill rock and roll is his damned best song.

I allways equal heavy music with heavy lifting. I'm on a roll with Hatebreed, Slayer and Ramstein these days ;) Ahhh the agression! I dont understand how some people can get psyched up for a heavy squat set with justin timberlake crying in the background. Theres no punch in that music! I saw a guy on a youtube video squatting 720 lbs raw for five reps with maroon 5 playing the background. Now that is one strong guy!

Something with a lot of power, but not too fast.

Quadrophenia by The Who still tops my list.

That, and an obscure post-punk gem by Michael Been (singer/composer of The Call) called On the Verge of a Nervous Breakthrough.

The latest Mission of Burma album (The Obliterati) is also great workout music.

Thanks for the correction - I probably would've continued on for another decade with the wrong title had you not pointed it out.

Queen's music isn't *tough* but it is *awesome*

My musical tastes are all over.. However I usually listen to stuff like "RAZED IN BLACK Share This Poison" and VNV Nation - Solitary.

I grew up hitting up industrial clubs (and still do on occasion).. not everyones cup of tea to be sure but it is part of my musical bread and butter.

not sinatra haha...
i know i am a chick, so i do more aerobic sort of exercises and work outs, but i really dig sweating to the oldies even without the richard simmons tapes.
you put on some beach boys and time just flies while you are running or exercising.
when i have to do crunches and situps and even when i use my tiny little girlie weights to tone up, it seems to go smoother and faster when i have some really fun tunes on. exercise time is all about me, and a break from other things. i like it to be happy-fied!

now if i play the aggressive music that i prefer (like sevendust), i tend to get a little angry and frustrated, which may be a good thing to you guys especially if you are lifting weights.

You should do heavy squats penkitten. That will get that a$$ nice and toned up if it isn't already :D

Actually, some classical music is also good when doing cardio outside (not lifting). I actually am a big fan of Bach.

For fast-paced workout or sprints:

From Paris to Berlin - Infernal

For psyching myself up to a ME lift and giving 100%:

Butterflies & Hurricanes - Muse

-

not exactly death-metal but it does the job.
