Look up Richard McCann. He did a motivational speech in my school and basically his mom was murdered, been in and out of jail for taking drugs, and really didn't have a nice childhood. But he turned it around and got his act together. I really can't do his story justice though.

even though this is from a fantasy book, reading these stories has without a doubt changed my life..i highly recommend the "sword of truth" series...alot of great philosophical ideas behind the story

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
