Well i hope this will apply to someone. If this dose not apply to you...well its still interesting (hmmmm psychology's fun huh?) And one day it may apply to you
Think of a show such as fear factor. People with aracnaphobia (not sure how to spell it, but its the fear of spiders) are forced to eat spiders. If you pay attention to the interviews at the end of the competition, you will notice that the losers usually comment with something such as "that was't as bad as I thought it would be"
However the winners usually respond with something such as "that was horrible" and "ill never do that again".
Why is this?
It is because the human mind has to find a reason for figuring out why the crap you just ate a spider. For the winner its obvious, your walking away with a new car, or a heavier wallet.
However what about the loser? They have no prize or anything to serve as the reason for competing. Therefore the mind tells the loser "you know that wasnt so bad, infact, u kindof enjoyed it". Because (like i just said) the human mind HAS (i repeat it HAS) to find a reason for what u just did.
If your afraid of something you cant just fiddle faddle around. YOU HAVE TO TACKLE IT HEAD ON!
I hope you see were this applies to your game. If your afraid of approaching a woman. Smack yourself, grab your boys, remind yourself what you are...and go.
Hope this helps
