"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Hey guys I have a situation here. I've noticed that there are many beautiful that work at grocery stores. I'm telling myself I should try and mack to this girls but for some reason I'm drawing a blank on how to go about it. It just feels awkward asking women out at a register. What do you guys think? Any advice?

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Got a business card? Give it to her after she gives you the reciept. You have to be quick because you are talking just seconds you have. My advice, be that smiling face and only go to her aisle. Once she begins to smile back then you know you can approach her. Just be quick and get her number. Either way, TRY to get her number and don't rely on her to call you.

Things must be different in Buffalo than here. I never see good looking girls who work at grocery stores.

It feels awkward because it is awkward. You're going in with the mindset that you want to go out with them, when all you know is that they are attractive, at work, and on a possible time constraint. You haven't yet established that there is any common ground to see if they are your type. It's just not a good position to be in, to have your mind already made up like that.

That's not to say that you couldn't ask them out AFTER you get to know them a bit. For instance, you could ask them a few questions about themselves at the checkout, like how long they worked there, or if they have a book they're reading nearby, comment on that, and see where it goes.

Just feel it out without trying too hard is what I'm saying.

Checkout chicks are like female bartenders...they have heard it all before and are in work mode, so they are not disposed to noticing customers and responding positively. I think you really need to have good game to succeed, but trying will not hurt you either. There was another thread in this vein, so try doing a search.

The other point to make is that if you are chasing sales counter staff, then you are not meeting enough women in other places such as Starbucks, clubs, bookshops, etc.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

This line is more appropriate for cashiers at fast food restaurants - when she asks you "Anything else?" - they always ask this per their training - say, "Yes, give me your phone number" and quickly while pointing at her and while rolling your eyes add "but don't charge me for it!!"
