I think too often people are projecting there own prejudices onto the world. This is what happens when we become imaginatively impoverished.

The reality is there is a wide spectrum along which people of diverse persuasions and lifestyles can be found.... though that said, continual exposure to media and technology seems to be narrowing that experience.

The base more and more dominates the media, and so the media loses any educatory function it might have. It now becomes propaganda.

It's an interesting vid from a different perspective than the normal one. Essentially, it's saying that women are working against their best interests by offering up casual sex. And their best interest is in securing a man in an LTR. From a women's perspective, it is hard to argue with this. Further, I wonder if it is also in the interests of humanity.

Here's the thing though. This rational approach - one that looks for a universal and practical morality.. even if just based on economic/ self-interest principles - is fast being lost. Today, people are increasingly thinking in terms of class, sex, power; they identify with a group that is a subset of the whole. The logic is 'post-modern' in so far as it can not even intelligibly relate to the old 'modern' ideal of a universal culture. Now all we have are culture wars.

All I want is a cute girl that is loyal, gives hot sex and pulls her weight. But.....I'm never getting married again so I will just continue doing what I'm doing. That is screw anywhere from 3-5 women at a time and if the don't like it they can leave, because replacements are easy to find.
