If you read some psychology you'd learn a lot more about him, and yourself.
You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.
And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.
Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.
The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Actually, I've studied psychology as a hobby for the last 25 years. He and I know each other and ourselves extremely well.Originally posted by iveyleeger

Yup...I took Psychology as a freshman in high school and loved it so much it became a hobby to study it on my own.Originally posted by iveyleeger

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
Erm...there are a lot of people who study things they aren't required to study when they are teenagers. Some people just have a hunger for knowledge.Originally posted by DJ_in_making

As someone fully aware of how damaging the feminist movement has been on society, and men in particular, I am seeing a very disturbing trend on this forum. I am making this post not to offend or upset anyone...but in hopes of helping the men here realize the dangers of anti-feminism.
I once was the administrator of a very popular and busy gender issues forum. I started the forum because I noticed that everywhere these forums existed, men were routinely banned whenever the tried to post how they felt. That made me very angry so I made a place where men would not be banned, where feminists and men were able to confront each other and say whatever was on their mind. I did not censor and the only rules were no death threats, posting of illegal material or posting personal information.
What I noticed is that both men and women who get embroiled in this battle too deeply end up on the road to self destruction and madness. It's not pretty. The men who allowed themselves to get too wrapped up became much like the radical feminists they claimed to despise so. The behavior and attitudes were exactly the same. It was very, very ugly.
It is good for men to be aware of how feminism affects them. It is not good for them to build their life around looking for any little hint of feminism in every little part of their life.
I'm seeing a lot of cases where men on here are looking for feminism in everything. These guys are very negative in their posts and they seem pretty miserable.
Just like most men find feminists to be unappealing...women also find their male counterparts to be just as unappealing. It's no fun being around someone who is always looking for an excuse or reason to feel like a victim.
This is intended as a warning to those of you who are just learning about how feminism affects men in society. Take care not to cross the line between awareness and obsession. You do NOT want to become that which you dislike.
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
I learn it from the best. J/k I had my fun for 2day, I'll let u be.Originally posted by Wyldfire

Yes, this is becoming a very unfortunate legacy being passed on from "generation" of newbies to "generation"...and it's really leading guys in the wrong direction...a direction that is only going to hurt them in the long run.Originally posted by OneArmDeeJay
I agree with this post.I too have notice that there is WAY to much negativity in peoples post. I also notice that those who use feminism as an escape goat corrupt the new ones that come to this board looking for answers and help. The new ones start to get a taint image and then soon their post will reflect the same negativity of their predecessor.
We say DJ’s aren’t negative that it’s bad and unhealthy for you. That we should look for the positive and stop blaming others. Then why do so many people say and do other wise?
Don’t be a Hypocrite.

Lots of guys who aren't getting laid and can't get a girlfriend use all this anti-feminist stuff to mask their frustration, just as ugly women use feminism to mask theirs. It doesn't work, and it's very transparent.

I actually give a lot of very good input and advice, and I offer a perspective that no one else who posts here can really offer. I'm a logical thinking woman who isn't afraid to be blunt and honest...even if it isn't popular. A lot of what you have seen of me lately is a product of the atmosphere I'm talking about in this thread. It's all interconnected.Originally posted by iveyleeger
Wyld, what exactly *are* you doing on the board?
Obviously you aren't here to learn anything as the rest of us are. When giving the chance, you are convinced you already know everything (see above). So are you just here to dispense all your psychological wisdom from freshman year of H.S., or what?
This is not a flame. But all I see is a lot of you talking about your past, getting into flame wars with everyone, telling guys what they can or can't do, giving bad advice, and labeling men as bitter woman haters when they call you on it. I don't see the value in all that. It just looks like you're always stirring the pot. But let me guess, I'm bitter too, right?
She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
I should ask you the same thing. What exactly are you doing on the board? Are you here to learn, give insight, share knowledge, and be positive? Or are you here to be destructive, argumentative, disruptive, and negative?Originally posted by iveyleeger

good post.
too bad most of the new guys here wont listen.
Ketostix, nowhere in this thread am I defending women or anyone. I am simply saying that many of the guys on this site have gotten so embroiled with "fighting feminism" that they've gotten somewhat obsessed. When a man crosses that line he begins to behave exactly like a feminist. He looks for any hint of an opportunity to play the victim. It is NOT normal or natural for men to behave in that way. That is FEMININE behavior that is magnified by causes such as feminism.Originally posted by ketostix
Wyldfire for real you're always defending poor female behavior, you're pro-female, and you sure seem like feminist. All you're really saying in this thread is for guys to roll over and take whatever feminist- minded females pitch. Any idiot knows negativity and anger is usually ineffective at getting what a person wants and can be self-destructive.
Any negativity on the site regarding females is not the cause it's the effect...Most guys just want a decent looking girl to treat him good, some just want to get a little action regularly without having to expend all their free time and go through endless games. Why else would you frame it as the "pontential destructiveness of anti-feminism" and bring up that debate, but for attention and to defend feminist? I haven't seen anyone talking about the topic of feminism lately till you brought it up.
