A chick I know sent that article out as a myspace bulletin.
She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
MacAvoy said:I agree and I don't understand the fascination with all these articles being posted about men & women outlining how society is? If we are supposedly trying to live like DJ's then what does it really matter how one person views society or how one person acts.
We are our own people and hopefully those that choose to visit this site aren't going to let society get to them. You have to govern yourself according to what you want out of life.
I don't see how posting this stuff helps us out? It merely focusses on the negative.
lol, you may want to rethink that statement/self-fulfilling prophecy.Jon55 said:...for afcs like me.

Average Frustrated guys don't find places like this and work on improving themselves.
*head explodes out of sheer amazement*Interceptor said:(A masculine man's real leverage is his own masculinity, she has NO replacement for this, and she knwos it, but many males DO NOT So they grow up BELIEVING that they MUST sacrifice and bend to her whims).
This is true. All this here is building an actual foundation for your life, guides and tips pale in comparison.Jon55 said:Reading guides and tips only go so far. Sometimes a good discussion can do wonders.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
Hahaha, that's a funny pic on that link -- a bunch of 30 something hors trying to chase a man down to get him to accept her fallen state and to love and cherish her for the rest of his days!! I have to get a copy of that and hang it on my front door!!DJDamage said:Here is the equivelent artice from the UK: in this one a woman is calling them Man-boys and shaming them for not wanting to get married.

Men are like eggs. They must hatch or go bad. I came to this conclusion after seeing in the new year with a gang of university friends and hearing one of them, a single guy of 35 called Jamie, declare with complete sincerity that his resolution for 2008 was not to get a girlfriend.
I groaned. His vow struck me as odd, not just because Jamie is a remarkably warm, kind and entertaining individual rather than some ropey Lothario, but because I knew him ten years ago when he was mustard keen to marry his then girlfriend. And when I thought harder about it, I realised that over the past decade Jamie has effectively been degenerating from the man he was at 25 years old to the boy he is today.
When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.
Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.
Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.
The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
you got it.Master Bates said:Exactly. These women seem to think that men have an innate obligation to women to get married, and they're throwing a fit because men are wisening up and realizing that they in fact don't.
This is something that struck me as well. For decades women have been fighting for independence and freedom from their traditional place in society, and now that they have it, they don't want it (as evidenced by articles like these), but the men are all like "hey, this is pretty nice!" And of course, now that the shoe is on the other foot, men are being called "immature" for it. Ooh, the bitterness!joekerr31 said:while men dont even realize it, the whole womans movement and the ensuing 'indepence' women acheived, will in the long run actual end up freeing men.
haha. well im 33 and i gotta tell ya, im enjoying life. the thought of marriage, kids, family bills, responsibility, etc... not really that appealing.Master Bates said:This is something that struck me as well. Last Man, great post. This quote, particularly, almost knocked me off my chair from laughing so hard.Last Man Standing said:The reason that so many men have come to hate the opposite SEX (we are human beings, not nouns), MKNB, is precisely because of articles like this one. Men didn't start the gender war, and it looks like the only way we can avoid making victims of women is to avoid them completely. But, WAIT, that makes victims of them too! I guess we are just hosed all the way around.
