Try a different place then. If something is important enough, something that petty wouldn't be enough to stop you.

As long as you are fully intact and in one piece, you can do the work and do anything you want to do. This rejection is a blessing in disguise, you should have no shortage of motivation now.

All joking aside, college bars/clubs are the toughest on age.

Casino bars/clubs tend to be lenient for entry for older guys ime. There is a chance the older guy might have $ so they cut him some slack.
