I'd recommend everyone to read Eckhart Tolle's The Power of Now. It's all about how to change your current state of mind and be happy in the present, instead of focusing and/or worrying about the past and future events which we cannot control. It's by far the most mindblowing book I've read. DeAngelo also talks about it all the time, and I believe he also said that if there is only one book you'll read then make sure it's The Power of Now.
