On another post (locked) the topic of a girl's height and weight came up. I didn't get a chance to repost before it got locked...

BUT

Most readers thought a girl 5'11" 120lbs were impossible. YES it is very much hard to imagine that in America you can find a 5'11" weighing 120lbs.

BUT

According to these sources (Sources: Crowther et al., 1992; Fairburn et al., 1993; Gordon, 1990; Hoek, 1995; Shisslak et al., 1995., US Department of Health and Human Services, HIV/AIDS Surveillance Report 1998, Treatment Advocacy Center, 1999, Smolak, 1996., Mellin et al., 1991., Collins, 1991., Shisslak & Crago, 1995.)

The average weight of an American woman model is 5'11" 117lbs.

NOW before you say anything remember that is the average...so that means you have 6'0" models that weigh less and 5'10" models that weigh more. And this doesn’t include all the girls with model bodies and haggard faces.

BUT

The average American woman is 5' 4" 140lbs....

Though; you do have to wonder why somebody would say the weight of a girl. That info is more guarded than her bank account #.

Just thought I would throw that out... last half hour of work (you know how it is).

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

What matters is her measurements, is she close to a 36C 22 36 and close to 5'6 or not. Models tend to be too skin for my taste.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Numbers are meaningless. It's about being proportionate. I know some girls that look sickly at less than 140, and I know others that look fat at 120.

Sadly, I think even that stat is outdated.
USA: Over the ten year period (1991 to 2001), the average American woman's weight increased 11 pounds (7 %), while her height has remained about the same (an increase of 0.1 inch or 0.2% taller). Ten years ago, she weighed 152 pounds (69 kg / 10 st 12 lb) at a height of 5' 3.7" (162 cm). Now, it's 163 pounds (74 kg / 11 st 9 lb) and 5' 3.8" (162 cm).
Now compare that to Finnish women - who average only 88 lbs at about the same height!

Uh, something is really wrong when the average US woman is 7" shorter than me, yet weighs MORE than me!

You have to understand when these studies were performed. Typically a thorough study last at least seven years. In your examples, the samples would have been gathered during the 1980's and back then, those statistics were definitely true.

If you look at at the long term data collected by the Center of Disease Control you can see the growth of obesity (haha) from the 90's until now. http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/obesity/trend/maps/obesity_trends_2006.pdf

Just look around you too. Two out of three people you see on the street is overweight, I'm not talking about BMI ratings either. Note how many average people have a waist size of 35" or larger, those are the ones who are considered overweight or at least at greater risk of coronary disease due to their size.

I don't get it, I'm a 35" waist and I weigh 150 at 5'9" with a 5.1% body fat percentage. Does that mean that I am fat?

I noticed that people in general are getting more and more overweight (and that ain't muscle mass that they are carrying around either) and everyone blames everyone else but themselves as well.

Put the blame whereit belongs. Yourself. My girlfriend is a bit overweight, but is exercising and everything to lose it. At least, she is trying and succeeding.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

No, you're not fat. Men are naturally heavier than women (higher muscle mass, more upper body strength, etc.) For example, my 5'4" man is 130lbs, whereas I am 5'8" and 115lbs.

I'd double check those numbers. I'm 5'11 and weigh 160lbs, 7% bf and I only have a 32" waist. If you have a 35" while being shorter, lighter and less bf, something is definitely a bit off.

Now, it's 163 pounds and 5' 3.8"

When I see an add or myspace page that lists body type as 'average,' now I know to expect 160 pounds.

Some women can carry 150 pounds or so, and still look pretty good. My last gf was I think 5'7" and 155 or so. She looked like the St Pauli beer girl, a big strapping blonde, but not fat. I also knew a cheerleader in hs who was 155, five-six or so, and pretty hot. She was all muscle. These are the exceptions, though. Most women do not carry weight well, and practically every American girl is either overweight, or if she is young, on her way to being overweight.

A 35" waist, isn't that a women's size 18 or 20? That's not a petite woman! :nono: Besides, we aren't talking about chest or upper body mass, we're talking about the circumference around the waist.

American/British women are getting fatter at a quicker rate than the men, that's why it's so hard to get a slim girl, they're getting more rare.

This is why I keep my eye out for women who are year long athletes (runners, swimmers, cyclist) or women that regularly teach fitness classes (aerobics, spinning, yoga, pilates). If you don't have a problem with their choice of diet (organic, vegan, vegetarian) you can typically have a winner on your hands.
