"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

right here's the deal.

there's this HB9.5 who's going to the same college as me... and we recently just started hanging out, she was in my high school but i never really noticed her up till now. when i discovered she's taking the same course as me.

so anyways, had a great date with her, watched a horror flick and she was pretty much into me... looks like she was having fun, laughing and stuff.

now, the thing about this girl is that, she's got a million guys on her back. i need to differentiate myself from them. but thats not my question.

the thing is i have a coffee catch up thing with my ex girlfriend this friday. (i have no idea why, but yes i asked her out in a moment of extreme stupidity.)

so this HB9.5 knows that i'm meeting my ex on friday. and while we were talking about it, somehow, i said "hey do you wanna go to this really cool coffee house on friday?" (by which i meant ditching my ex to hang out with her)

but she was pretty happy with it. she said "why would you want to see your ex anyway?"

so.... i don't know if i did the right thing.

1. she may think i'm using her to get over my ex

2. she may think i'm desperate for her company and get sick of me.

so what should i do? hang out with my ex? or with this new chick? any advice will be appreciated

thanks in advance mates

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Ok, try this:

Picture you and a good friend talking on the phone about everyday "how about this weather?" type of ****. Now picture you asking him or her to hang out this Friday: "Hey you wanna go up to (insert popular bar here) this Friday?" He/she responds with "Yeah sure, that sounds good." Seems easy enough right? Just a simple interaction: "Hey you wanna hang out Friday" "Sure, I'll hang out". No problem.

Did you ever stop and think after you hung up: "Man, I hope Joe doesn't get sick of me, maybe I should cancel on him so that his interest level in our friendship doesn't drop." It just doesn't go through your head.

So why is it that JUST BECAUSE a girl happens to be physically appealing to YOUR eye, that this must mean that she works completely different than a friend? Why do you think she's going to be able to see right through you just because *you* think she LOOKS good? Does your opinion of the way she looks somehow give her this x-ray vision so now she can see that you're just being pathetic and desperate? No. It doesn't.

If you like her, and enjoy spending time with her, ask her out. If she DOES get tired of you, then it's not because you asked her out too much, it's because you both weren't compatible, and "avoiding her to challenge her" would have done NOTHING for you except prolong the inevitible.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Atta boy jakey! Never venture down a path you've already blazed. The unexplored is always the place you want to be.

Next time resist those urges to hang out with an ex.
