Wow, when a chick asks how long you had been married, she's trying to figure out if she would, as a divorcee or widow of you, if she could make a claim on Social Security benefits (i.e., if Wifey #1 was married to a man for over 10 years, Wifey #1 would have the claim, while Wifey #2 would not be able to make a claim).

Insofar as breaking free of a marriage that's poison to it's core goes:

-A man is going to have to experience the discomfort of, as @The Duke points out, losing a few bucks and likely finding a new residence.

-Hell, this may even entail moving to a diffeerent city or state, after becoming entirely TOO comfortable in his former digs

-Chances are strong that his ex will run to former friends and even some of his own family with a sob story, and that they'll simply buy into said sob story, blindly as The People's Temple swallowed everything Reverend Jones preached

-If he and the missus shared stakes in a business or/and property together, sorting all that out is going to be an annoyance, will probably = The fella cutting some of his losses

The list could go on

It's actually something you have to communicate subtly.
Once you're in a committed relationship, you don't want to flirt with other women, so how do you let your women know you're still desired by others?
I mean, men here on sosuave would list good reasons, but those are not really good for very healthy relationships.

I remember the first time a woman admitted to googling me it was 2010, I've had a few since tell me they want to Google me before the date etc (usually online dating) I myself have googled girls to see where they live and if they have any crazy debt lol

I came to that conclusion about women Googling men when I was talking to this girl. She told me that she and her friends were hit on by some guy outside a club one time, but they gave him the cold shoulder. Later, they Googled him and found out he was a hockey player on a minor league contract earning $1 million, so they kind of regretted it.

I can’t remember if he gave them his name, told them he played hockey professionally and they didn’t believe him, or gave them his number.

Two rents (or in my case a mrtg AND rent), two car payments, two sets of utility bills and her running up every expense attached to your name she can muster. Guys think she's devious when she's WITH you?

What were your criteria for doing this? I mean, had you already put her in the trash bin and considered to f8ck her only?

It's easy.

- they ask questions like "how do you like this neighbourgood? Would you like to live in the apartment in this building?"or "Would you like to move to house in suburbs at some point" because they are starters for discussion including your current housing status therefore they can gauge what you have;

- "what do you do for living?" - to check your income possibilities

- "where do you spend your free time?" - to assess your spending habits and amount of money spent in leisure time

- "do you like to travel?" - because travel costs money

- they will decide to have sex with you at your place - once they will find you rent a small studio apartment instead of own large apartment in some sexy neighbourhood, they will qualify you accordingly (field tested years ago in my case)
