"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

"Money is the root of all evil? Only poor people say that."

So, you are working on your bad habits, reading up on this site to sort out your mind set, the next step is to get a job.

NO BUTS ON THIS ONE. Work, you will need the money. If you don't need the money you aren't doing enough. If you are the kind of guy that sponges off his parents- wake up ***** boy. The is a line between having help and being supported. You need this, you NEED cash in this life.

It's just like anything else- effort goes in, good stuff comes out.

However, sometimes getting a job can be tricky. Unless you didn't know, most big stores don't "do" vacancies posters. Another big problem a lot of teenagers run into is thinking they can ask around with their friends to find somewhere with a vacancy. **** that. Your friends know **** all about the current staff vacancy status of your town.

Time to have a bit of confidence and just go into all the shops that are viable job possibilities and ASK. This is the best way to search for a job- do a job run. Take on one town at a time, moving on to ones further and further away that you can still get transport too, try towns on your train/bus line. Hit every shop, get all the forms, fill them in in a coffee shop, and hand them back the same day.

You will need to bring all the correct paper work with you- this may include passport, work permit, or national insurance number. Also, get your school dates and details written down. Finally the only other thing you'll need to do most forms is some references, get them sorted out too. Oh and an emergency number, and a pen.

Get that on a check list and get this **** done. It will get you meeting new people, get you money, get you independent, and will give you a good bit of rejection to deal with:p. Seriously, most places wont have you- get over it, and do more forms.

This may take a while to come together, don't worry, just keep at it. This can be helped by creating a system for motivation and direction, which I'll deal with next.

Next: Your System

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Yeah, or use public transport? Where do your friends work? Work with them and hitch a life. Seriously, the gains you'll get from this far outweigh the effort needed to sort it out.

Remember, there is always a solution. Never think something isn't worth the effort. Effort by itself is worthless, its like potential money- it's what you do with that effort that counts. Good luck with that one.

By the way, there are always other ways to earn money that don't require an employer... drug dealer/baby sitter/car washer anyone?

This summer, I must have applied to about 10 places doing pretty much what is described.

Only one of them ended up calling me, and only after I went in a second time to ask about my "job status"... thankfully, it is really a pretty easy job ( mostly cashiering at a hardware store, and when it gets slow, I can do my homework. )

Getting a job isnt hard if you apply at many places, and if you arent a moron and go spend your paycheck the day you get it every week, you can really get a lot of money saved up.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
