But yourself on the bf's shoes (if you had a relationship before or when you had a relationship on your AFC/beta days, etc....). He's going to feel jealous or threatened if his girl is flirting and enjoying herself with another guy especially if he's insecure about her or has jealousy issues. Maybe she enjoyed the interaction too much that it felt like emotional infidelity to the sensitive bf. You don't know how much money or time he invested on her to see it all evaporate as she falls in love with a stranger in the middle of nowhere...so in a state of panic he came towards both of you.
If this happens to me then I chum up with the bf and talk with him too. Maybe he's a loner and needs to talk anyway. If you keep the mind-set that you are talking to people and are having a great time socializing then you wouldn't care who comes up. The fact you are out there talking to people is great since you just never know where it may go and not everyone obviously will have a bf.
As long as she enjoyed the interaction to the point a bf felt threatened by it then it's a successful flirt and should be a stroke to the ego you riled someone up, lol! Was she a hb 7+? Then double stroke to the ego!

That's a good point Corrector; having the proper mind-set is key. I totally get the reason why a boyfriend with interrupt. I guess I just get frustrated when I'm having a great interaction with a woman, and someone comes along and interferes/blocks.

i've had a similar situation happen, i'll make a detailed post about in my gym girls thread.
Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

This is why you need that friendly "buffer" before you lay your number grab. If the BF shows up, you continue, unphased, even talk to him to for a minute, say thank you, or just bye, and you split. If she were single you number grab. If not, you're just a curious, friendly dude strikin up a clean convo.
