"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

It's kind of funny, because I just got done promising myself I would never date a younger chick. Mainly freshman. I just recently broke up with a freshman (I'm a junior) because she was too stupid and immature for me.

But anyway.. I should probably rewind a little. Not too long ago, a friend of mine told me her sister said that I was hott. She suppousedly lived next door to me. I could recall seeing her a few times, but I knew she was extremely young (in 8th grade, I'm in 11th :\) plus I didn't think she was that good looking (even though I never got a good luck at her). Then one day I am outside skating.. and this gorgeous girl starts walking down the street.. beautiful black hair.. nice ass, decent tits.. and completely my style. And what do you know? it's my neighbor! I couldn't pass it up, so I went up to her and started talking to her. I opened with "hey, you're so and so's sister right?" and we started talking, and I asked for her name and then she went on her way and I continued skating. nothing really happened after that.

then just recently she added me on myspace. and we started talking. i started negging her a little bit. we dont talk everyday, but we talk every other day or so. sometimes she initiates it, sometimes i do. we seem to have fun talking to each other.. but. i find the whole situation really awkward. this girl is my next door neighbor.. i mean seriously.. lives RIGHT NEXT DOOR. you can probably see the benefits... but also the disadvantages of it as well... im not sure how i should go about this. i kind of want to hang out with her... but like... just going over there one day that would be really weird.. lol like inviting myself. and inviting her over would be kinda weird too? and also the fact of even asking for her number seems weird to me... like why ask for your neighbors number? i dont understand. lol. im thinking the next time i am doing something even if it is with a group of friends i could invite her along. especially if her sister is gonna be there, so she wont feel as akward about it? or is this a bad idea? i don't want ot get stuck in the "friend zone" but she seems kind of interested right now... but im not sure how I should escalate this.. maybe I am just being too scared? or maybe i am just afraid of the fact she is soo young... but I am pretty confused right now.

what would you guys do?

man not everyones that lucky.

why not just plan something with your friends... then during the day, walk over to her house and ask if she wants to tag along.

well try walking by her window and hope shes naked... and get a camera... and running shoes... take some pictures... run like hell... then upload here.

Does she know you live next door?, If so GET OFF that wack My Space site and knock on her door and ask her if she would like go out for coffee or whatever, when you meet people on My Space you create a fantasy in your head about that person but if she is next door you don't need too... go and see her, either it works or it doesn't..at least you tried.

I forgot about the 8th Grader thing... I thought kids drink coffee when they are young.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
