"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Since graduating High School...Well, mainly since becoming a moderator of the Discussion forum, I have been sparce around this forum. After talking to Matrix and getting out of a major slump (sort of), I realized something...Don't take High School for granted. Sure, you may look at it now and think "this place sucks, I can't wait to bail," but when you are sitting in your fourth class of the day, finishing page two of notes in fifteen minutes, you'll think, "I want some bs work." Here are some low points of college...

- Amount of notes: Get two notebooks and five Bic pens for every class, you'll use them.

- Tests: Study in advance and don't try and cram...Did that the other night and will be lucky if I got 40% on it.

- Girls: You may think "you really are crazy..." but the girls here are more interested in school or have work AND a sorority.

- Free time: Nothing really to do during that time, you'll WISH you were in class. My advice...Learn to play pool.

High points...

- Class length: 90 minute classes in High School and now I have "50" minute classes. Usually 40 minutes a class really.

- Free time: Yes, it was a low point, but if you have something fun to do and have friends, this is great.

- Atmosphere: More relaxed and more friendly then High School. People actually say "hi" back instead of "who the hell are you?"

- Parties: Every Thursday night, frats have parties here. VERY fun. Become friends with some different frat members in various frats.

Yeah, High School is the toilet, but take what you can from it. Don't sit in "Advanced Sciences 107" and think "man, so many wasted chances in High School. Go out and actually do the work. Talk to the hot girl. Go to dances and crap like that. More importantly...Hang out with your friends. When I get back home for Winter break, all of us are having Guys Night Out and bringing a video camera. We are making our own highlight reels ranging from stunts to approaches. Have a blast and don't think "I can't wait for college." It'll come soon enough.

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

Nice post.

I suggest to remain calm and don't hyperventalate over so much except if you are in trouble with grades. Thats what my elders have told me and I heed the advice, which makes me feel great.

So yeah..just go out there and do your best

I guess its true if you have one of those kind of courses, however, I'm in a computer systems course, and have 6 classes - with 1 binder.

This is actually one of the first things I noticed different from highschool and college. The atmosphere is so much friendly and easygoing.
However, class length differs. Most of my classes are 2 or 3 hours but some are 1 hour long. The good point of these 2-3 hour classes is the teachers usually let you out really early + give you breaks in between!

Hm, Ive met quite alot of people at the school that have been there for a couple years already, and none of them have mentioned a frat. Maybe I'll start asking around. Thats one of the disapointing things about my college so far...there are no "college parties" ...everyone around here goes to clubs - and Im only 18. Though, there are tons of university parties around me, ive been to one and im sure there are many more to come..tomorow night infact :D

Definitly. Too bad I didn't discover this site earlier...I found it at the end of my highschool career. It coulda helped me alot in taking charge - and breaking from my old-AFC ways. But, I'll definitly take advantage of college.

this summer i went to UT austin for some computer training and some college guys were teaching it, turns out there were also a bunch of little kids so i just pretty much hung out with them, and man are people so much cooler. even around the campus people were friendly and didnt have all the stupid HS social BS. its kind of funny really, i'm all the way down in san antonio and one of my skating buddies worked with one of my instructors (he was 18 and a soph. in college) who used to live here. its a small world.
