"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

me and my girl have been dating for about 5 years now. everything seemed awesome till she hit 21. now she's acting like she's in charge, like everything she wants has be her way and if it's not than she's upset for a day or so. i'm not giving in or apologizing, but i'm trying to find that balance between letting her win at times. for example she wants to see me everyday (still even after 5 years) but i'm trying to change that and see her less so that the relationship doesn't become monotone and boring. everytime i go out with my friends and don't see she's upset. i know she's jelous because she always asks me who and where i'm going. i don't seem to know how to handle this since we're both used to seeing each other almost everyday and now i'm trying to change things a little. also another thing is that it seems like everytime i am the one initiating sex, at times i feel like i'm begging her to make love. what can i do to make her ask me for sex not other way around. i've already tried not getting phisical for about a week once and that didn't work. it seems like she could go on without sex for months or something. i just don't anymore. please help!!!, anybody!!!

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

the fact that she needs to see you every day suggests that she thinks you might end up cheating on her.

if you haven't given her any signs that you might do that, then she's probably thinkign that becuase that's what SHE is thinking herself - that she might cheat on you.

people always suspect you of things they would potentially do. Like if someone suspects you might be lying when there is no cause to think so, its because they are projecting themselves in your shoes and thinking "would i lie? yep. so i bet they are lying"

and truth be told, its time for you each to go your own ways. you started when you were teens and now you are both adults, but living in a teen-like relationship most likely.

time to move on it sounds like.
