So I'm catching up with a plate I spun away 2 years ago. (Some history. She knows about exbpdgf and they have some of the same social circle) I tell former plate about what's been going on. That exgf kept coming by my place, and that I had to call the sheriff, and file a letter with an attorney to get ex to stop bothering me. I wake up this morning realizing that info will make its way to the rest of the social circle.
I can tell her to keep the info on the downlow, but knowing her I bet it's already broadcast across half of this smaller cities social scene. It didn't help that I caught up to her at a GNO situation. Women as we know LOVE to talk about drama. So this is prime story telling material.
Why do I care you may ask? While all the info is true, letting friends of my ex know how crazy she got in the end may cause me more grief from ex. Where I think I screwed up is the unplugging part. I shouldn't be broadcasting my life's drama. True or not gossip is for women. Sure my ex was being irrational.
I strayed from my rule: before opening your mouth and saying something in front of a woman, ask yourself," Is what you are about to say a confident statement?" If not, then keep your mouth shut. Less is often more.
Ideas? What's the group opinion on this one?
