I am trying to avoid any form of aerobic exercise as I try and gain weight and weightlift.

Quick one- Will swimming on a regular basis help me tone up or make me lose weight which I don't want?

Cheers.

Swimming - more or less like running do help you lose weight.
It's a great exercise either way though.

You might want to battle that by eating more cals.

Well swimming is one of the best cardio exercises...
My opinion is that you should focus on bulking up as much as you can, then, cut with swimming! a member once told me that it is even a good thing to do cardio while bulking up so... :S

Resistance & sufficient protein is the proper way to bulk and incremental resistance doesn't have to be limited to weightlifting..

But, thinking about resistance: You can't exactly add progressively more molasses to the pool so it gets harder to swim in, but you could just swim faster, or HIIT-style.
