Had a date not really confirmed but tenitive I call one hour prior ..no answer so I say screw it

one and a half hours later she calls saying she just woke up , I tell her so sorry I'm on my way outa town and wont be back for a couple weeks ..she moans and asks can we get together then ...I say OK not sure when I can call but I will call and set something up.

My question is this ......

is it best to call her on the flake or just smile like it didnt happen ?

could I have handled it better ?

you should have said "ill think about it. right now ive got to let you go but give me a call when im back in town"


she said sorry and you instantly forgave her. she sh*t tested you and you just showed her that you'll put up with being stood up as long as she says "sorry".

no need to get angry at this. all you had to do was respond with ambiguity and tell her to check back with you later.

let her know that you AREN'T desperate for her attention and that she's the one that lost out. you gotta remember, YOU ARE THE PRIZE.
