"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

I wore these sunglasses on college campus one day and my x-g/f said i looked gay in them, and a few of my friends also said that they were gay & too big.

Then right he said that, he offered to buy them off me. Then my other friend wanted to borrow them for a little bit and wear them on campus. Then one girl said that they were nice and my sunglasses were the first thing she noticed.

In the past, I always wore things people said I shouldnt. For example, as a freshman in highschool i Dyed my head blonde like Eminem. Another example, as a sophmore in highschool i used to wear bandanas under my hats like Eminem.

Should I continue to wear these sunglasses out in public?

*keep in mind, i always dress nice. i wear Armani Exchange, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister and stuff like that. *

here are a pic of the sunglasses:

if that doesnt work, try this:

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Those are not sunglases. Those are "Fashion Glasses". Notice the lack of tint.

No wonder you got the Gay comment.

And as a tip: You are very impressionable. Abercombie, Eminem, fashion glasses. Just ask your friends what you should dress like, talk like, be like.... etc. You don't have much opinion and are a copycat. You want to be like the "Cool People". You emulate in hopes of being in the limelight.

Attention.

Well, that wasn't much of a tip. Oh well.

sunglasses or not, they look pretty cool to me. might be better if you showed us a pic of you in them, tho.

if you get about an equal # of "those are gay" and "those are cool" comments, you should continue wearing them -- just not as often. Bring em out maybe once/twice a week or so.

If there's an item of clothing that garners mostly positive comments, on the other hand, then it's ok to wear it a lot.

I dont wear sunglasses, only when Im driving, then I wear a driving glasses to minimize glare and prevent my eyes getting dry from wind. I think its all about eye contact, and it is lost with sunglasses.

Case in point, profile of some chick on my space or whatever, shes hot and shes wearing sunglasses. That makes her look rediculous, in fact, it takes away some of that hotness. Its no different on a dude.

Sometimes you just have to wear them, then its ok to do that. On college campus? I dont know about that, there will be lots of girls, not a lot of sun, you should be fine without glasses.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

not true. They make girls look ridiculous because sunglasses are manly. That being said, there are some girly glasses that actually look ok on girls, but overall sunglasses are masculine.

The only time they look stupid is if you're inside, or it's night time, or they just don't fit you. Even in those situations, you can get away with wearing them half the time if you're a movie star or something.

DON't GIVE UP THE GLASSES

If its making you stand out then keep it, don't be like every other chode and wearing the same thing. It's funny because when I first changed my style everyone looked at me like "WTF". Then some people would go "He looks like a damn fool" or "He looks gay" but you know what. A month later as I wear more wild stuff, people are loving it.

Keep anything that stands out, it will only help.

Speaking of shades, i went to the club its was like 11pm i had on my hater blockers an the bouncer dude wouldnt let me in he was like you cant wear those in here im like wtf?

Alright so i said i would take them off an put them in my pocket...still not good enough so i walked to the back of the line an gave them to a friend of mine. An went back up to the dude an i was like i got rid of them but he was all like no you didnt, i didnt even see you leave the building who did you give them too?

I was like man i dont have any shades we argued for like 5 min i kept tellin the guy search me i dont have them so he finally let me in.

Anyway at 2am when we were leaving i walked right past the guy an raised my hands like "whats up" what are you gonna do now? Then i walked to the car an this van full of chicks almost hit me an my friend, so we started talking **** to them then started talkin to them ne way it ended up with me making out with the chick in the passenger who i only just met for 2 min.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
