"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I think everyone on this board will agree that men in America are portrayed as fools in our popular culture. The modern sitcom wife is strong and independent, while her husband is just some "dumb **** lucky to have found her." Commercials are even worse. I saw a pizza ad where the husband went nutz because he thought that the sale price was the real price but that the delivery guy got it wrong.

But my question is this: Where can I turn to find strong men archetypes? What books, magazines, TV shows, movies are out there, new or old, that portray men as strong leaders and not weak fools?

Let's make a list. I'll start with Atlas Shrugged (which I'm only halfway through), and The Godfather movies.

“The 22 Rules That Turned Me From Invisible to Irresistible With Women… Starting Tonight”

You can skip the expensive cars, the fancy clothes, and the endless gym selfies. Completely unnecessary.

I used to freeze the second a beautiful woman looked my way. Frustrated. Awkward. Watching other guys walk away with the girl while I stood there tongue-tied.

Then I discovered 22 simple rules that rewired my entire dating life. The anxiety vanished. Conversations flowed effortlessly. Women started chasing me for a change.

These rules trigger a woman's subconscious attraction switches. And you can start using them tonight.

spider_007:
I would love to read up on the history of men. Now if only you would suggest some specific books like my original post asked for.

musclyjerk:
I don't watch TV much at all, but it's hard to get away from popular media all together. That is why I wanted suggestions about what is out there that shows men in a better light.

All you need is to watch Conan the Barbarian.
If that movie doesn't flush out the afc in you, then I don't know what will.
Even the soundtrack will raise your testosterone and put hair on your balls.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Man, it's tough to find examples of STRONG men in modern culture. It just isn't "in" right now.

I was watching "High Plains Drifter" on TV the other day and I was thinkin' "Ya, Clint Eastwood was a DJ in that movie." Alpha Male all the way. He screwed every woman in town, told everybody what to do and got revenge on everyone who screwed him over. Pretty much ANY western with Clint Eastwood is a MAN's movie.

Look to some of the Hollywood men of the past, like John Wayne, Burt Lancaster, Charles Bronson, Clark Gable, James Coburn, Robert Mitchum. Real men.

I know a lot of you younger guys probably don't even know who these guys are, but it beats who we got now. Leo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt? Gimme a break.

Meet some real ones.

There are still some authentic men out there. They are generally doing manly things... not acting in hollywood chick flicks or tv sitcomms.

Do something hardcore. Go rock climbing or surf some big waves. Go on some big hiking/camping trip. Get yourself on a boat at sea for a while. Become a vounteer fire fighter. Get into some tough martial art (not one where you stand in the spot punching the air but where you are getting punched and kicked). You'll find real men in these pursuits.

More importantly you will learn how to be one. Nothing lifts your game like having experienced some real masculine adventure.

Being a man can't be learned in books, on the net or on TV.

Not in this country since WWII ended and feminism took over...

Real men are an endangered species now.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Think any of those guys would ever "Peacock"?

Hell no.

They didn't want to or need to, because they were real Men.

LOL, those guys are myths. They don't exist in real life.

You're not James Bond. If you get hit in the nards that hard, you'd pass out.

i think we ALL know how to be real men...

we just choose to listen to our environment's call for weakness, as opposed to our inner nature's demand for strength.

I always think back to david carradine's speech about Superman in "Kill Bill 2"

Superman is actually Superman...that is his identity.

he takes on the role of clark kent to Fit In with the rest of the men and women of the world.

the neurotic, insecure Clark Kent...

Call me an idealist, but I think we're all like that....

we have an immense amount of strength inside, yet we tone it down for the slight fear of offending someone else...

what we need to do is celebrate our power as men...women can be feminists...but we can still be masculinists.

do you think real men spend every waking moment at a night club? discussing pick up tactics? dissecting a conversation with 30 others?

HELL NO.

Real men are out there fighting in iraq, fighting injustice, saving lives, and not giving a **** whether women like them or not, because their lives and accomplishments are more important to them.

Real men do not spend their weekends in a club, *****ing about the lack of women they get. Real men are furthering themselves and the world without complaint, and with a stoicism that has been absolutely trumped in popular culture.

**** Hollywood. **** Queer eye for the straight guy. **** manicures. **** all that.

Be a goddamned man...you know how...so stop asking questions and ****ing do it.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Strong men are just made fun of now. Girls say "macho man" and sh*t like that. Yet they lose respect for us when we cry and talk about our feelings. So we really can't win. Damm'd if u do damm'd if u don't. Back in the day i think women knew how to treat men. I see my grandparents and my older aunt and uncle, sure she laughs at his stubborn old fashioned ways sometimes, but its different. overall she respects him and supports him in everything and always has his back. Women today feel like they can say whatver they want to us. They can be the biggest emotional train wrecks in the world, but god forbid we dont have our **** together once in a while they says "oh hes not a man" or somethin alongn those lines. I mean if ur always a whimp thats one thingm, but if u just have ur bad moments then so what everybody does. I think all married men under 50 are whipped and miserable cuz their women treat them like crap. My cousin was this really cool guy and he totally lost his personaltiy he's like a stepford husband now. She owns his A$$. Its a shame.

Ok enuff ranting.
