Strip clubs, brothels, massage parlors, Hooters, etc, like porn, are actually too easy. You'll feel confident, but when you try a woman in the real world, you'll get knocked back into the loser gutter so quickly.

If you want confidence, bust your ass in the real world. Hit on the busy, disillusioned, ill-tempered women we all love to hate (99% of the female population) until you're laying them 2 or 3 per week.

I hate people like you too. I've worked as a waiter, and youre one of those fukkers who would sit at a table and just order water. Or order a really big meal and not tip.

Wrong - when I go out to eat, drink or whatever, I always tip well, unless the service is atrocious.

I'm not some chisler who goes to a club/bar/restaraunt and drinks water all night.

When I went to the strip clubs, I did not receive any type of extra services, such as a lap dance, nor did I sit up front and watch the live show(s)

I paid a cover charge of anywhere from $10.00 to $20.00 dollars and stayed for half an hour.
An hour at most.

You still think that's being cheap?

For strippers, "their job" is selling themselves to you. If you don't buy, you don't pay.

(As for waiters, paying the menu price was considered fulfulling my legal contractual obligation the last time I checked; tips are a bonus, which I'll decide on. Just my view; everyone else is freem to form their own.)

Personally, I think Derek's idea of boosting confidence at strip clubs is an excellent idea. Yeah, it's a "crutch", so what? So are the things they give you when you break your leg -- pretty useful, aren't they? I am in favor of doing whatever it takes to help yourself improve. I'm not suggesting it be one's only method of improvement (hardly!), but if it helps, what's the problem?

Hmm,..a topic near and dear to my heart. Does visiting a strip club, brothel, etc. increase confidence? I'd say yes and no. I've fvcked strippers before - there's no such thing as a date witha stripper - and I came to understand that strippers aren't selling themselves (or degrading themselves as some women would have you believe), they're selling you attention and making money from the attention you give them back. I've argued the attention whor line for a while, but in short all women are to some degree dependent on attention. Strippers have simply turned this need into a profession. The probelm with deriving your own sense of self-confidence from this is that, while it works well in the confines of a strip club where the girls are competing for your attention in order to profit, you require a whole new set of rules outside the strip club. Competition inside the club is overt, outside it's covert. Rarely will a half (or fully) naked woman whom you've never met plop herself down in your lap at a nightclub or the mall and ask you how your day was. Strippers will boost youur confidence, yes, but it's too easy and not conducive to learning how to realte to 'real' women.

The same applies to pros. You can go fishing in a barrell full of fish and catch your limit in 5 minutes or buy a fish at the market and think you're a great fisherman, but go out to the river at the wrong time of day and use the wrong bait with the wrong line and a bad reel and dull hooks and you'll still get skunked. Learn how to fish at the river boys.

Here's my take on these clubs:

You go not to be horny around strippers or to get "confidence". Paying sluts to strip would decrease confidence if anything...because that the end of the day you realize you've just spent your weeks paycheck on seeing naked women, because you can't do it on your own for free. Depressing.

You go to strip bars with your friends to have a good laugh and a few drinks. The stripping is secondary. It's not sexual.

Some guys are simply completely intimidated by beautiful women. To the extent that strip clubs help alleviate these feelings of intimidation, they are useful. If this applies to you [reader], you'll certainly know it. Simple as that. No one ever said you're going to become a DJ just by hanging out at your local strip joing.
