Streaming Video

Let's get some streaming video on this, or some other, site. We could get some veteran DJs to go out and get some of their techniques on camera, then upload it on this site.

Reading is good, but actually seeing how it is done would help immeasurably.

That is a really good idea and I second that notion. However, is someone willing to take the time and energy to do this? Also, what is it gonna look like if youre taping a chick you just met with a camcorder during your pickups? Good idea but alot of problems.

Im pretty sure that would take A LOT of disk space. And if we cant have the forum jump enabled kuz it takes too much space, what are the chances of this?

They follow the people with cameras. Then they edit the tape, and add personal touches to it...

Hmmm. Hidden cameras would work, but it might be problematic to implement. There must be a way...

Go to one of those spy catalogs. I haven't looked for one online but remember seeing one years ago. They have alot of them in New York supposedly.

I'm sure they have all types of cool video devices there.

I know video-taping the pick-ups would be beneficial to a lot of us, but isn't it illegal to get someone on camera, and publish it on the internet without their consent?

Guys, are you nuts or something? Its not realistic - to videotape a pickup???

You need a super small camera, or the targer must be in your environment, like with big camera installed behind a mirror.

The only thing that is possible is to record only audio and that's it. And we'll have to share it not through this site, but some other way.

How about showing (streaming) important exerpts from movies and then commenting on it? These often have good info on how to pick up too... obviously this is less uncomfortable for both the DJ and the chick.
