I seem to get this predominantly from girls who don't seem interested because they never truly "stay in touch." Now when I get this, I read it as "I'm not really interested in you, but I'm going to let you down easy." It is a real cop out term because it shows no real committment to me.

So I guess my question is what are other people's experience with the term "stay in touch." Am I on to something or am I just overanalyzing?
 

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

Depends how and when they say it. Sometimes it's a good thing.

Yeah, I think it's a good indication of interest. It's better than 'see you around' for instance. They are asking you to contact them.
