"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I am currently a sophomore in high school and am trying to talk to this one girl I am interested in. She and I are part of a specialty program within our high school, so we take three classes in common (Sociology, Global Affairs, and English, although I am not in her rotation, or period, so I only see her in the halls during the day). She's not majorly attractive or anything but she's cute and seems like a good person to be in a decent/serious enough relationship with. I have kinda had a thing for her since freshman year but have never really pursued it. So anyway, I do have her cell number and she and I have had a texting convo once (about a week ago) and we generally talk with each other when we're together. She and I usually tease each other/flirt, but it has never seemed like she's that interested romantically and I'm not sure how to get to that point. She (and I) are fairly intelligent and down to earth, not drama/jealous type like a typical high school girl/guy. Also, I would've asked her to homecoming or something but got caught up in a really drama-y girl, and long story short, I now know how not to get friend-zoned or be an emotional tampon. The only problem I've ever had is she's not really in the same friend circle as I am, although if I got to know her well enough it wouldn't be weird if she were to hang out with me and my friend circle. She's also not majorly more popular than me, so it's not like a relationship between us would be unrealistic. Any ideas on how to get to know her better/talk more/eventual date scenario thing? Thanks.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Text her and say "Hey! Lets go to a movie/get ice cream/go to a park this weekend! I cant do Saturday, so friday or sunday?"

Simple as that homey. Try it out.

Make sure you kiss her on the first date.

Well I mean I've never hung out with her in public, especially alone... you think I should just plant one on her the first time we would be hanging out together?

Make sure you hint thats its a "date" in the text though... whether thats simply just adding the line 'just you and me?' otherwise it could get a bit weird

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

As soon as she gets there, treat it like a date. Take her arm and but on your's, give her kisses on the forehead, high-five her, or hug her whenever she does something cool. Just make sure to make her heart race every now and then, and touch her because the absence of those two things will definitely land you in the friend zone.

Good Luck!
