"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Hi (feel free to comment)
I thought this would be useful advice here as well cause it wasn't being read much in high school discussion (i can't move it).

In four months or so high school is pretty much forever.

In Four Year

Looking back, I wish i had more guts. I found this web site two years ago but i hardly learnt anything.

In high school i didn't really have much confidence. I read alot of articles in my spare time but really didn't extract anything.
I'm not even sure why my confidence was so low. I was top of the class and quite good looking (for some reason thats rare usually at my school ). Maybe i was just too shy so i didn't really make alot friends.

Each time I met a girl i thought the exact same thing "how could a girl that pretty actually fall for me." I always thought that i didn't have enough status, i didn't have enough friend and that she might be ashamed if anyone saw us together. So hence i never really made any move. As a result, we became distanted (sigh same thing for more than a million times) and then became strangers.

Moral

I guess the moral of the story is: never ask the question i did. I thought i didn't have enough friends and hence i wasn't worthy of any girl (how dumb :S).

For those still in high school for a while, i'll tell you to stop thinking and just do it. Over analyzing kills you.I wish i had a time machine (but i dont). Stop asking does she like you or "would a girl like that actually find you attractive." Sigh i wish i never asked that question.

What Now

But hey you know, I'll never do that again and you just live and learn. I still got four years of school ahead at least so its not too late.

Sorry for big long speech, i just had to vent that out. But hey any comments is good.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

This has been stated so many times it has gotten to be too much for people. They know by now.

Instead of looking for solutions for your problems in articles, boards and other such things, look for the solutions within yourself.
You're obviously thinking the wrong way about this. You have to realize that you should just be trying to connect with a girl. If she doesn't like you "that way", so be it, at least you've got a good connection with that person. If she turns out to be a total b!tch after you've connected with her personality, it will be all too eazy to eject and get rid of her.
I've been connecting with people everywhere I go lately, and it has certainly made my life more enjoyable. Just talk to people, feel what they feel and imagine yourself in their place. It makes you feel better, no matter what.

Don't worry about adhering to the rules on these boards until after you have mastered the skill to truly get into someone else's skin. This is the basis of everything, without it you are nowhere. Be open about yourself, let them be open about theirselves. Connect.

Dude, you're only 18. The best times are about to come. Just remember what you said up there and use it.
