In the last 40yrs, I'd say the 80's were the peak of masculinity on television and in society. It's been down hill ever since. Too many worry about the image they portray and what others think of them. Miami Vice characters Crockett, Tubbs, & Lieutenant Castillo were all calm, cool, collected, and did things on their terms. There were many layers to those men. They were not followers.

I do think current society has had enough of the chaos and confusion of gender dysphoria, confusing gender roles, and all of the social justice warrior crap.

If you follow shows that Taylor Sheridan produces you will see. The man blazes his own trail and its on his terms. He told Hollywood to fuhk off and is creating his own version in Texas. In the scripts he writes for his characters to act out, he pokes fun at the stupidity of mainstream social justice blowhards like the wh0res on The View.

Anyway yeah I know it's part of a larger trend. I really don't know what it's all about, probably has numerous causes. But I think part of the reason so many men are gay/trans now is because they're autistic virgins who so desperate for intimacy that they become gay/trans out of pure desperation. It's pathetic.

You can exhort people to take accountability all you want, but the fundamental nature of human behavior doesn't change. They are indeed subject to influence. And lo and behold part of this "accountability" you speak of is recognizing we have an influence problem in the first place. LOL.

If you want the "everyday folks" to change, how about pointing out they are being brainwashed? Telling them to buckle up and pull on their bootstraps won't stop the data centers from being built, the surveillance state to encroach, needless wars being started, disasters being induced, etc. However, awareness would.

So how about doing your part and acknowledging the real source of the problem? That may involve some introspective discomfort on your part, however. But discomfort that involves growth is a good thing, no?

Some people are fine with seeing the world burn, as long as they are comfortable and/or can look down on others I suppose..

What would be Mature Masculinity is sacrificing our comforts to take down the hostile elites planning on enslaving and murdering everyone. Hostile elites who, by necessity, have tried to relegate masculinity to the obsolescence bin. Merely refining outdated concepts of policing is an act of impotency by comparison.

Hell, those two fellas on The Vampire Diaries were lambasted for being "too pretty" back when THAT series aired. Today, they look certifiably steely and virile, compared to modern day Alan Aldas who infest most mainstream Hollywood flicks
