Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

A fire left me with no clothes and a new roommate to help cover bills, and I'm finally caught up on my child support, so I'm basically back at square one trying to get my life together...its tough at the bottom especially this late in the game.
Yah. Once me and my ex split my money has been terrible ever since (4 years or so). We were doing okay as a couple...middle class, but solo with child support has me basically on the edge of poverty. The only way forward is to have my own business...I'm never going to get ahead waiting on someone else to pay me. In fact if it wasn't for having a hustler mentality I would have to move home with my folks. I'm going to make money by any means necessary.SoldMySoul said:You hit something on the head, "It's tough at the bottom." Man that was music to my ears. Because brother that is where I am! Not to mention, but to add to your true statement, It is lonely at the bottom too.
My game is weak at this point! I have a lot of negs in my life that are beyond my control. When you are on top, everybody wants to be there with you.... at the bottom, not so much.
Attraction runs on a clock.
She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.
The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."
One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.
Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
Sorry to hear that Bossman, fyi it's Boxer. I hope you rise up and become reborn like the phoenix.Warrior74 said:Just wanted to bump this for anyone who missed it. Strengths:
1. Hunting skills. I've gone out with 101 women from May 2008 to present. I've f*cked a third of them, keep in mind I don't like to date so if I can't close the deal within 2-3 dates, she's done.
2. Business. Recession has hit me hard, but I'm still making enough income to pay my bills and have a little left over to invest.
3. Investments. I spend years studying investing ala Warren Buffet and it has paid off.
Weaknesses:
1. I'm an a**hole. I can't keep a woman after a couple of f*cks.
2. People skills. I know if I was more socially adept, I would be more successful in all areas of my life.
I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.
The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.
Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
