"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

So What Kind of Women Do "Intellectual Men" Often Get With?

It's been said on this board, and there's some evidence to that in the dating game, that many women who consider themselves high on the physical attractive ladder, as well as by men, are often not very bright and seldom hold intelligent, decent conversations. In that light, I was wondering if folks on here have ideas about what kinds of women the so-called "intellectual men" (college professors, teachers, writers/novelists) tend to get with and where they find their future wives. I'm just curious because most of the women who've hit on me have tended to be for example, sixth to eighth grade teachers, high school teachers, etc. and most of them were very pretty, open-minded and down to earth. I wish I knew of any sure places where I could meet lady teachers in this damn city of Philadelphia. Interestingly, teachers, despite being intelectual, seem to have quite some spicy dating lives.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Extremely hot ones. I mean seriously though, this is a loaded question. You can have any kind of women you want. And a truly intellectual man will want a woman that pleases his wants.

A good looking woman that stimulates my mind definitely attracts me more than a plain good looking woman. At first I just thought it was intelligence that I was attracted to but I have come to learn that intelligent women out there that have little to no understanding of passion. So what I've come to appreciate are the more philosophical, artsy, opinionated, worldly yet loyal women.

More times than not I meet them in places of higher learning or adventure type tours (rafting, cross country skiing, mountain biking, etc.) If you get a chance, take a trip to Denver or Boulder, they're the norm out there.

Re:

Thanks, man. Skiing and mountain biking and rafting, etc. are new to me...not trying to be stereotypical here, but you know, I'm a black dude, so I'm yet to explore a lot of that stuff. LOL.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Re:

I actually used to be a very good swimmer in my home country, but I haven't really swam or had a chance to do so since I came to the U.S. in 1998. The last time I swam was in 1999. People I talked to say that in that case, I'm gonna have to learn how to swim all over again. Black people can and are good swimmers too. LOL.

One of the things that differentiates a DJ is that he is comfortable in several environments. Think of the missed opportunity that being stereotypical ideals set. That's one of the worse things about living in the states. For a nation with so much opportunity, people constrain themselves with self inflicted limitations. What if you were in Switzerland, Spain, New Zealand? Would you still set these limitations?

Re:

Francisco, don't take my response that seriously. I was simply joking, which is why I even wrote the three words "LOL." I'm not saying that I am opposed to doing such things. As you know though, the U.S. is a racist country, and both blacks and whites look at one race or the other strangely when members of either race are perceived to be doing things that they seldom do. Not that I personally care, but that's just the way it is and it's a shame.

Got'cha.

It's just a lame excuse that I hear primarily here in the States. People gave their lives fighting to allow everyone here to take part in all the opportunities that any American citizen has and so many people limit themselves by self segregation. Madness...

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
