So I think I have an idea of what it implies but anyway here's the deal. Since I hurt my back from lifting very heavily at the gym a couple weeks ago and have been doing physical therapy, I was joking with one of my co-workers that I just hope that in the long run it doesn't make me develop a hunch back. She laughed and said, "Oh, no! A guy as fresh as you? If such a thing were to happen, what are the girls going to do?" And I laughed back as well. This particular co-worker is a married woman and we're just friends but I tell you...human nature is amazing. You have to be really strong especially in the corporate realm when you're a man because some of these women act like marriage means absolutely nothing to them. If you don't have strong values, you're in trouble.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

But to your comment about women in the workplace, I've got a couple of them after me in one of my offices that I do business with. Just last Wednesday I came in for the first time since back surgery, stopped by the HR girl's office (she's married but we have incredible chemistry), her eyes lit up and got wide as saucers and she jumped up and hugged me like nobody's business. If this girl were single I would scoop her up in a split second. Massively feminine yet intelligent and totally non-slvtty.
I would hate to think of my own wife being so friendly to other guys in the work environment.

I honestly think that I would not be able to turn her into one for an evening... and there are very few women I can say that about. She would get caught up for a bit and then come to her senses and refuse my almost irresistible charms. That's probably one reason I like and respect her as a woman. There is a definite attraction there that cannot be helped and yet I doubt she would act on it. That's the kind of woman I want.

Beats the piss out of them calling you a boring chump! They see you in a certain light favorable to you, so run with it.
What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

It seems a lot of women can be this way, until you get in a relationship with them. Then watch and see how "fresh" they are. To me, lots of them qualify as "the chase is better than the catch".
