All kinds of interesting things going on here. I get your point, but just because something happens in the Bible doesn't mean it gets a stamp of approval. Humans regularly engage in unsavory behavior, and the people and stories in the Bible are no exception.

I guess you're questioning why Lot and his daughters were saved when they were capable of this. First off, scriptually God credits faith as righteousness. Secondly, maybe God saved the daughters for Lot's sake?

But if someone is going to argue that Lot is not guilty here because he was drunk, that goes against the present double standard where only women are absolved of their sexual activities because of alcohol.

Middle Eastern values regarding hospitality can be kind of strange. If you accept a guest into your house, you take responsibility for him and his safety. This kind of thing sounds crazy to our ears, but maybe we should also consider that in ancient times, female lives were not valued as much as men's. They say even today, female babies are unwanted and killed in China. It's hard to take a culture's values from thousands of years ago and try to fit them into our present day.
