I swim indoors once a week. From January to May of this year, every time I went to swim, there was this smoking hot HB9 lifeguard. At each occasion, all I said was hi with a smile when I came and bye with a smile when I left. (It's extremely difficult to chat with them as they are sitting on 10 feet high chairs and must constantly focus on the people in the pool).
From May to the beginning of November I didn't go swimming. Last week was my first appearance in almost 6 months and lo and behold the smoking hot lifeguard is working. I said my usual hi with a smile and jumped in the pool.
20 minutes in, during a rotation of lifeguards, I see her waiting for me at the end of the lane. She then proceeds to give me a swimming tip on how to use my arms.
As far as I know, the lifeguards aren't there to give lessons, they are there to make sure no one drowns. It's the first time I noticed a lifeguard going out of their way to talk to a swimmer.
My philosophy has always been if a woman goes out of her way to talk to you, she is interested. I'm 34 and she's most likely 21 or 22. That's what's making me unsure about her interest level. That being said, I am by far the guy with the best physique there. The other swimmers are either children, much older or skinny. I'm 6 feet with blue eyes and an athletic body.
What's everyone's take on this? Is she into me or am I looking too much into this and she was simply advising me on something I was potentially doing wrong?
