Feel like I'm rehashing the typical posts here, but...

There's a girl I really like who's in 1 of my classes, and who I see frequently in the hallway. I haven't talken to her yet, though I've made eye contact more than once.

The kind of girl? She's small, cute, sweet/nice as can be...and smart. Not that I've had much game, but the type of girls I usually get into are more of the girly-girl-shopping-girls. From what I can tell, she's more of the intellectual type...not totally shrouded in books, but not hung up on cell phones and stuff.

So...are the DJing rules any different here? I would assume she'd be more interested in a nice guy than a DJ or jerk. I'm the dreaded "nice guy" I guess...but I hang out with some jerks and I'm not overly, brainy smart.

I've been trying to impress her for the past few weeks by acting more smart/mature, but that's getting old...I want to approach now. Any thoughts on how and when I should do that and what to say?

My curent gf is also very smart, but I just did the same thing like I would do on another girl. Watch out though, this smart girls are getting very atached to you a lot faster!

Well, I'm not trying to impress her in the obvious way...more like just watching myself more carefully.

I really wish I knew how to approach her though, I'm not good at randomly going up to girls who I don't talk to unless we're in a formal situation to break the ice (a la by ourselves waiting for a teacher or something...stuff that never happens). Been reading the bible and stuff, trying to get my courage...I think a huge problem I have is when some kind of opportunity arises, I talk myself out of it...why it will fail. Then afterwards, I regret backing out. Agh what's wrong with me.

Anyway, IF the point that she's smart is a moot one...some more tips on approaching would be helpful. Again, we know who each other are, just never spoke together before. So stuff like "where do I know you from" wouldn't work in this case.

There is not a lot of help that me or someone else on this forum can give you. You just have to grab your balls and go talk to her. The more girls you approach the easier it will get.
