"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

There was another thread started a little while ago about the pros and cons of online dating, there wasn't anything too surprising about it but one comment about social circle game really stood out.

The poster basically said there was no way he was prepared to gamble his [few] trusted friendships on a liason with someone's sister, friend of a friend etc. and for that reason he stuck to picking up online. That really struck home for me, I stay the hell away from it for the same reasons that I don't fool around in the workplace. Some of you guys are obviously making it work for you, who's the undisputed champ of social circle game 'round these here parts?

I figure the successful guys have a LOT of regular social contacts and they aren't fvcking with their inner circle. Either that or they're LTR guys, it just seems like there's no way you could get away with the old pump and dump with your best mate's girlfriend's cousin...unless you're Hank Moody.

I can't shake the feeling that for guys [like myself] with tight, small social groups it's really ill-advised.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Dear Wilco,
Look getting to close within your Family and friends is a dangerous game.there is no going back mate, rather incestuous really....rather like the depressed boundary rider...his preferred exit is a tourniquet of fencing wire around his throat, you cant go back mate...its Wilco over and out...As for a Internet championship...I have had disaster on the Plate front, feel rather like Napoleon watching Moscow burn...so I have a Lady on the Internet...I have seen her twice...have written,I am ashamed to say more than fourty mails to her,met her twice kiss closed both times, but no reaction to my hand wandering down her waist...But like some one playing roulette I know if I keep my money on 23 eventually my boat will come home...Hmmm.

Must have been that "supermoon". I dropped all my plates last week (I wonder if they noticed) none were really proving to be worth the effort, deleted all my online contacts and I'm starting over fresh. Could use a slump-buster but I don't think I'll be going through anyone I know.

Obviously the more harm done if it doesn't work out, the closer in proximity she is to you and your social circle.
Yeah, easier damage control is a fairly underrated/overlooked aspect of day/night/online game.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
